We do things
The things team, part of User-Centered Computing research department at Fraunhofer FIT, works on designing ubiquitous computing solutions for real world scenarios. We understand our task as a creative endeavor that requires mutual learning between users and designers.
We do research to inform our design
We seek to understand user practices to find opportunities for innovation. We see design as an enabler and driver for socio-technical co-evolution of behaviour and artifacts.
We inform our research with design
We are interested in the integration of technology into everyday practices. Ethnography, triggering artifacts and design probes help us to observe and understand the complex relationship between users and technology.
